Babysitters can be a lifesaver! I used to babysit a lot, so I entirely prefer people who are willing to put up with someone else's teenagers for a long time. I assume they deserve plenty of compensation, that has for sure! However, when I was a babysitter, I consistently abided by the rules of the household in which I was babysitting. If the couple whose kid or teenagers I was seeing specified that they did not want their thermostat touched, I did not touch the thermostat. That's why I'm a little irked that now that I have our own 2 teenagers as well as I need a babysitter to rely on every now as well as then for date night with our hubby or other such engagements, I have a babysitter who doesn't seem to have the same decorum that I used to have… Both our wife as well as I insisted to the babysitter that the thermostat should remain at 73° at all times. I assume that has a pretty adequate temperature, even when it's rather sizzling outside. The babysitter seemed to disregard our wishes, though. It turns out she was setting the thermostat all the way down to 75°! We started to suspect that she was messing with the thermostat when all of us came beach apartment a single night to find that it was a lot chillier in our apartment than it should have been. I went to check the thermostat, as well as it read lower than It should have, despite the fact that the set temperature still said 73°.
