Buying a security system for our mom

I invested into a security system for our mother’s home, however it took me a while to talk her into it; She was convinced that the upgrade would require drilling holes into her walls and ceilings.

She was sure the device would be bulky and ugly.

She argued that she’d have difficulty operating it and be inconvenienced. I explained that new security technology is entirely wireless and integrates into the beach apartment with no disruption, however everything from the window breakage sensors to the cameras are seriously compact and streamlined. I also promised her that today’s systems are especially user friendly. She was a bit afraid of the touchscreen display, despite the fact that I showed her how to navigate through the unusual programs and features. She’s able to access monitoring and adjustment through her smartphone… When the security system was first installed, there were some difficulties… My mother set off the alarm by mistake numerous times, then this wasn’t a huge problem. The monitoring supplier alerts both she and I to any disturbances. The two of us simply need to provide a code word and they shut off the alarm. If the two of us fail to answer with the official code word, they alert the authorities. It makes me assume safer and more confident knowing that our mother is protected by the security system. My mother likes that she is notified when someone enters the driveway or steps up onto her doorstep. She can see who is there and speak to them. Her apartment is locked up narrow at night, with no worries over a break-in or disturbance. She also has an emergency button she can push. Since she is 77 years seasoned now, I assume better about her living alone now that she has the security system.
