Forgetting to open the flue on the fireplace

My sibling Angela got married last year! Everything about Angela’s ceremony, from the invitations as well as flowers to her dress as well as the cake were luxurious! She decided that she wanted her bridal shower to be held at a brand new, boutique restaurant right downtown! There were some problems with this demand, however for 1 thing, there’s no parking near the site, forcing everyone who attended to walk quite a distance.

This wouldn’t have been so terrible if not for the time of year. The shower was held in March, as well as the weather was terrible. The temperature that afternoon was eighteen degrees with several inches of snow on the ground as well as freezy rain falling from the sky, then because of the winter-like conditions, the people I was with and I wanted to make sure the venue was hot as well as comfortable once everyone arrived! My sibling was adamant that there be a fire lit in the fireplace for ambience. Since the restaurant was brand new, no 1 had ever used the fireplace before. The employees who were assisting us, certainly had no plan what they were doing. They failed to open the flue as well as the whole venue filled with smoke. Both of us needed to open the door as well as windows for ventilation. The management refused to run the heating plan with freezing freezing air rushing in as well as the heat pouring out, while the people I was with and I managed to get rid of most of the smoke before the guests arrived, the venue was downright freezing inside. Everybody was forced to keep their coats on as well as kneel right up close to the fire. Fortunately the food was good, although I don’t know anyone had a easily great experience.
