My beach home has been having difficulty staying warm, and this sad me.
- Last winter, even though I had the gas furnace on a lot, I still observed our beach home was not that warm! I couldn’t have the furnace plan running all of the time, because not only is that taxing on the machine, but that will make our energy bills spike! So for most of last winter, I just had to deal with the cold un-even temperatures.
However, now that Wintertide is back around the corner, I don’t plan on going another cold Wintertide again. I plan on keeping our beach home moderate this year. I knew that it likely wasn’t the gas furnace itself, because the heating component was still fairly new. So, I looked for other reasons why the beach home could not stay moderate love it should be. One was the temperature control, even though I figured the temperature control likely wasn’t the cause either. So then I thought about sealing all of the cracks in our home. After I had successfully sealed all of the cracks in our home, I was disappointed to see that it didn’t make much of a difference. I was running out of ideas, so I relied on a professional Heating plus A/C tech to tell me what I should do. Luckily, the heating and A/C professional was able to tell me what the complication was, and it was that the HVAC duct had holes in it. Luckily, this is an simple fix, and he was able to repair it in no time. And that was the issue, almost immediately, our beach home became really warm, almost too warm, and I was glad to have a heated beach home again.
