If Southerners prefer the sizzling weather, why do they prefer their A/Cs so much?

You would assume that with myself and others being a sunshine worshiper as well as passionate the beach as well as sizzling weather that I would be very glad living in this area of the country.

It is tploy that I prefer the weather outside.

You can call it pathetic, but anything below 72° gives myself and others such a chill that I need to be wearing at least a single extra layer. It is tploy that I prefer the weather around here, but the problem starts whenever I walk into virtually any building that is not our own home. In our home, I have control of the thermostat, of course, as well as that means that I am comfortable. Call myself and others crazy, even though I set the thermostat to 76° as well as I am perfectly pleased. It does save myself and others a lot of money on our energy bills, but that has not the primary reason I do it. I do it because I’m more comfortable at that warmer temperature. Other people overuse the A/C around here, plain as well as easy. Whether it’s a diner or a grocery store or a dentist’s office or just plain anywhere, it’s consistently too cold for myself and others inside buildings! Seriously, if you prefer it this cold, then move up north! I have friends who would cling to their A/Cs with desperation, trading any other creature comfort, as long as they would be allowed to keep their A/C! Like, seriously, go up north. It’s your promised land, it would seem. But no, they say they actually prefer the weather down here better. I will never understand it!
