Maintaining the un-even temperatures in our beach home to an reasonable degree seems to be hard nowadays.
I have a tied up schedule to attend to, and constantly worrying about our temperature control and remembering to turn on the heating plan before I leave for work is borderline impossible.
I also recently got our first puppy, and he is really clingy and continuously needs our attention. So between keeping our work schedule, taking care of our current puppy and general household chores and errands, I often forget about the heating unit. Now that wouldn’t matter if it was any other season, but it is the dead of winter, so forgetting about the furnace plan is not a great idea. Not a great idea if I want heat that is. My home stays nice and moderate while the heating component is running, but as soon as it is turned off, it easily only takes an minute before it becomes cold. I was really angry with our seasoned dial temperature control, because it was pretty outdated and couldn’t control the Heating plus A/C component as it should, so I decided to substitute it with a smart temperature control… Getting that current nest temperature control was 1 of the best decisions I could have made. The smart temperature control made all of the difference, not only is it more efficient in general, but it is also programmable, so I no longer have to rely on our memory to keep up with the heating component. Now I have the temperature control to turn on the gas furnace at certain times of the day, and I no longer have to worry about an ice cold home.
