Hardly any of the weeks ago, I was using the sink in the powder room and the sizzling water knob fell off in our hand; I was also still able to turn the water on and off using a screwdriver, however I knew that wasn’t a solid and permanent fix. I thought about contacting a plumber, however our sister gave me through the process; she lives about a thousand miles away, however she works as a plumber. She told me where to buy the parts and she promised that the process would be self-explanatory to complete. The largest space of the process was choosing a new faucet for the sink. I went to the hardware store to look at all of the selections. I chose a sink with a chrome finish and separate handles for the sizzling and cold water. The neck of the faucet is particularly tall, so there is plenty of room for me to place our hands under the running water. I have a little bit of trouble finding the main water shut off valve. It was outside in the front yard buried under a piece of sod, and after I turned off the water, I went back into the new home and took the faucet out of the box. I put our sister on speaker phone and I turned on the video. She carefully walked me through the entire process, step by step. I didn’t need anyone to help me with the plumbing problem, because our sister was such an immense help. She absolutely saved me $200. That’s how much it would have cost me to call a plumber to install the faucet.
