I know when I was web building and making a website for our business, I didn’t do enough looking around on how to properly advertise our business.
I thought all I had to do was create a kind of nice website and people would come pouring into our Heating & A/C corporation… Well, I guess it’s a little more difficult than that, because I had a website, and the traffic levels were awful.
I was fortunate if I got a couple of people every week! I knew there had to be a way to change this, but I just wasn’t entirely sure how; So I had a lot of reading to do. I talked to a friend of mine, who knew about digital advertising. When I told him about our situation, he highly recommended that I go to a digital advertising company and they could help me advertise. I took his advice and went to a well known online advertising business, however this is when they told myself and others about SEO! SEO stands for search engine optimization, which is keywords you use that you want your customers to use, so you show up higher in the search results, and get more visibility this way. This made a lot of sense, and it all seemed so straight-forward now. The digital advertising company offered SEO services, and they helped me make a list of official keywords for Heating & A/C related things, like Heating & A/C equipment, A/C and heating were some of the words; Just with this little change, I really started noticing an increase in our website’s traffic. I can’t imagine how much I have been missing out all this time. I can’t wait to learn more!
