The costs to heat plus cool our modern home are going up every single year. This year the cost plus price of gas plus oil was much higher than any other time in the past. I had a hard time keeping the condo heated with the bill for the gas furnace at 300 bucks every week. As energy prices are soaring, the two of us all need to be careful all through the summer months. It’s important not to overuse the a/c. The a/c takes a much heavier workload during the summertime than the furnace takes during the Winter season, but one of the biggest reasons is due to the weather, every one of us have far hotter Summers than there are cold Winter seasons. Winter season temperatures can be cold yet they are never cold enough to snow. In the summertime the two of us have the highest temperatures of any other place in the region. I told the youngsters that I was going to put a lock on the temperature controls if they try to adjust the temperatures this summertime; Last year I didn’t say much about the young ones decreasing the temperature controls. This year things are going to be a lot different. I am planning to keep the temperature controls at a comfortable plus manageable 70 degrees. I believe that;s going to infuriate the older ones. I might have to put my foot down plus be the hammer, although I cannot afford to spend 400 bucks a month to air condition the house. If the youngsters want to keep the a/c temperature control set to any temperature lower than 74, they are going to have to get a job or build a lemonade stand.
