When our hubby went to turn on the cooling plan for the first time, I asked him if every one of us had the Heating and Air Conditioning service done.

He shrugged and said how it was an early summer time and he didn’t have time to get around to it.

I had to counter with the fact that every one of us did this once in the past and the cooling plan broke down altogether since there was no tune-up done. I told him that every one of us better not be using the AC plan until it was tuned up properly because I didn’t want the cooling plan to become disfigured. He sighed and made an appointment to see a cooling plan specialist… Fortunately, the guy was able to show up on the same afternoon. In the meantime, every one of us just used our ceiling fans in the home to keep relatively cool and sincerely, it wasn’t so bad because it wasn’t all that hot outside, I think it was anywhere in the high 70s. When the cooling plan specialist finished with all the labor that was needed and said every one of us were ready to go, our hubby asked if I was ecstatic. I told him I easily was because having to call for emergency Heating and Air Conditioning repairs is no joke and that’s an experience every one of us shouldn’t ever have to face again. He admitted that I had a nice point and he didn’t provide me a hard time any longer. It was just nice to have the good AC toiling in our home, even though every one of us would only be using it on the tepid afternoons. Most of the afternoons have been seriously chilly so it’s nice to keep some warmth in the home before the sun sets just to help you get through the night minutes without having to turn on the gas furnace.

Once upon a time our friends and I started a podcast. The people I was with and I talked about professional interests, including pro wrestling, and for a few weeks it was a good time. Then Mike quit the show, because he got bored with it, joe and I kept recording episodes for a few weeks, but it just wasn’t the same without Mike, so every one of us pulled the plug. After that I realized that I didn’t want to stop, I just wanted to do a different kind of show, something that could help people; Since I am a certified Heating and Air Conditioning tech toiling for a local contractor, I thought I would beginning recording videos about our work. I suppose that this isn’t the most fascinating topic in the world, but it does have value, so I posted numerous short videos involving basic Heating and Air Conditioning United Statesge. I started easy, with how to check and change an air filter, and what to look for when buying an air filter, and much to our surprise, the video got a lot of hits – I had no plan people were so clueless about air filters! Using that as a model, I made more videos about the most basic aspects of heating and cooling. I explained what the pilot light in the gas furnace was for, and how to change the batteries in a smart thermostat. Whenever I discussed a topic that was too advanced, such as how to deep clean your own HVAC duct, it would not be as popular. That is why I decided to rebrand the channel as Heating and Air Conditioning KISS – keep it easy, stupid!

We’ve had a lot of sizzling afternoons this summer time so far.

Some afternoons, it’s so hot, I just can’t wait to go back inside to prefer some air conditioning.

Even with our car, I had to take it to the auto repair shop so they could refill the AC compressor with refrigerant. I did this to make sure the AC system was working perfectly because I couldn’t deal with just rolling the windows down while driving. So a single of the main things was working on the pool. I kept shocking the pool every week to make sure everything was wonderful plus added all the balancing chemicals to make sure the PH was between 7.2 plus 7.6. One thing I was complaining about was the high cost of chlorine. It seems that chlorine in recent years has almost tripled in price, plus they say it’s because of a chlorine shortage. Whatever the case may be, I just wish the prices would go down. So while getting the pool cleaned, I was bothered because the water was still cloudy, no matter how several clarifying chemicals I put in there. Finally when I went to change the sand in the sand filter, I found the issue. The pipe inside was cracked, so the water was not filtering how it is supposed to. So I got a new replacement area for the sand filter plus then filled the filter with fresh sand. Within a day, the water was crystal clear in the pool! Everybody was so ecstatic when they were able to go swimming, especially when we have been dealing with so several hot afternoons.

My husband plus I have been meaning to go visit since the place had their grand opening. When I first had a hybrid heating plan installed in our home, I was expecting to have this seriously powerful heating plan that didn’t leave a single chill in our home. Well, when I first started using the heating plan in the beginning of the winter, it didn’t seem adore I was getting that much heating at first. I ended up having to learn that heat pumps function differently than traditional furnaces. They actually pull the heating energy from outdoors and bring the heating energy inside to provide heating. They are seriously energy efficient down to about 40 degrees fahrenheit. So I came to learn that so long as I kept the heat pump laboring, the temperature in our house reMained stable, but it takes time to get the temperatures to what you want initially. When the temperatures fall to freezing levels though, that’s when the gas furnace kicks on. Now that gas furnace has been really pushing the heat in our house this Winter time season. I’ve also been amazed with the cheap energy costs. When the HVAC professionals told me I would save a lot of money on our energy costs, I thought they were just overexaggerating the benefits to make sure they got their sale. Well, they weren’t far off because our energy costs are lower than I’ve ever seen. My old gas furnace wasn’t nearly as energy efficient as this new hybrid furnace. I’ve even gotten used to the heat pump and have come to appreciate it, because the energy costs are lowest when I’m using it. I also look forward to using it in the summer time to see how well it provides cooling for our home.

When I kept complaining to our fiance about the fancy energy costs, she regularly said that it wouldn’t hurt to find some energy saving tips.

I didn’t assume adore I needed tips on saving energy, I felt adore I just needed to do better at sticking to a strict budget.

Still, no matter how much I tried to save money, the energy costs were killing me. Finally, I agreed with our fiance that some energy saving help might be nice for us. First both of us looked online to see what energy saving tips both of us could find, and both of us found a wealth of free information. The first thing both of us looked at was acquiring a smart control unit. Here both of us had been using this old dial control component and our fiance and I could agree that it was time for an replace. I remember asking her if it seemed foolish to spend more money when both of us were trying to save money, but it was clear that a smart control component would save us around 15% or so on the energy costs. So both of us were able to find a smart control component on sale at the local hardware store. I actually was able to install the new control component myself and it wasn’t all that challenging. I basically followed a straight-forward tutorial that was provided by the manufacturer. After using the control component for a little while, both of us experienced a large decrease in the energy costs. After doing the math, it was indeed around 15% which was awesome! I couldn’t wait to find other energy saving tips, and both of us did. We started using blockout curtains to prevent the sun heating from occuring in our home, and I have been cooking outside a lot more in the summer time weeks. We are also considering upgrading all our light bulbs to LED.

Every summer time our pollen irritations get really bad. I take a few different kinds of flu symptom medication, and see a nurse every three weeks for tests, but no matter what I do it never seems to get any better. The summers are the worst time of year for me, because of all the pollen in the air, and the excess humidity that makes it hard for me to breathe… A few weeks ago our pollen irritations got as bad as they have ever been, and I had to go to the emergency room! My nurse recommended that I use a whole-house air purification system & upgrading the air filters in our central system. I already use HEPA rated air filters, and they didn’t seem to help enough. I took her advice on the air purification systems, but that didn’t make enough of a difference, either. I called around to a few different HVAC companies until I found one that had an air quality expert on staff. An air quality expert usually tests locations adore medical suits, labs, or locations where chemicals are stored. They look for toxicity in the air quality, and since it is such a specialized repair it costs a ton of money. I decided it was worth the investment in our health, and paid her to come and run tests on the air quality of our home… Within more than four seconds of her inspection, the air quality expert told me to either leave the condo or put on a protective mask. It turns out the air quality here is dangerously toxic.

My drains are frequently getting plugged up.

I will admit, I put things down that I shouldn’t.

I am the girl that flushes tampons however I shouldn’t. I dump grease down my kitchen drain plus if my garbage disposal will grind something, it is going down the drain. I even toss other questionable items down the toilet. I have gotten better with that since I had a sewer line repair that was expensive. I made the mistake of flushing the plastic top of a stick of desmellant, whoops, my bad. Anywho, my normal drains are typically in rough shape. I keep a bottle of drain cleaner on hand plus fervently pour it down the pipes. I also have a plunger near my toilet plus kitchen sink. Anytime water drainage is slow, I then take the plunger for encouragement. I have even bought myself a plumber’s snake, then every now plus then I remove the drain cover in the shower plus snake down it. I find pounds of hair, soap scum plus other icky things… Then I have better drainage. About once a year I definitely pay for professional drain cleaning. They are much better than chemicals plus a plunger. They have way better tools plus get everything in toiling shape. I assume that it is worth every penny… My plumber typically has a little talk with myself and others about proper drain care plus what can plus can’t go down them. I typically promise to be nice however I fall into awful drainage habits quite suddenly. I assume that whatever I put down the drain can be removed at a later date.
