Recently, my manager at the doggy daycare where I work, mentioned that he would be interested in installing a smart thermostat inside a number of different arenas in our facility, this way, the groomers could be kept nice and cozy, and large halls where the dogs sleep would be cool for them at night and during the day, should they want to take aname, he upgraded all of their outdated wall heaters with brand new HVAC units, then each unit was dedicated to providing HVAC services to a particular area, which was amazing, and I was able to stay warm with the heating while providing physical therapy care for one of our older dogs, however the space next to the pool where the dogs would come back inside from the hot sun was made to have pleasant chill to the fur from the a/c.

I enjoyed the adjustments to the HVAC units so much that I stopped looking for a second job, but before, all of the old HVAC units created an incredibly hot and dry environment.

The dogs constantly had dry noses from the heating, that caused me to break out into a bad and harshly itchy rash, and in the summers, the a/c from our HVAC equipment would also have a similar dryness to the air but this time with cold as its primary influence. The a/c would always dry out pretty much everyone, occasionally worse in the summers for some reason. So I am thankful for this addition to our small office workplace. It is important to continue to keep employees happy during this time, as it is almost entirely an employee’s market these days.

I was furious when I found out, and chalked it up to teenage girls being teenage girls and not looking after the place, which angered me.

I created a punishment practice and put them through their paces for an hour and a half of conditioning. I felt slightly guilty when the janitor and an HVAC corporation approved me saying that the locker room’s air circulation was off due to old ductworks, and it was preventing the humidity from escaping. The HVAC corporation explained that he will need to replace all of the ducts in the building to ensure it would begin circulation correctly. He also said he needed to repair the furnace in the basement while he was here. He found the mold in the carpet, and showed us how he had installed HVAC specific ventilation at floor level to ensure that something like this would never happen again. He even showed the girls how he installed temperature controls in not only that room, but also the gym, and my office, which I was happy about. I waited until later that day to test out the air conditioning in my office, it was amazing. I am so grateful that we were able to get these different things fixed, as the mold was also creating a bad smell that seemed to linger around the ild HVAC ducts and vents.

We took a good look at the real estate market and decided that it just wasn’t feasible to buy a home now.

• We love the place we live and have owned this house for almost 15 years.

But it has become absolutely necessary that we have bedrooms for everyone. There wasn’t much peace inside the quality heating and air of our home. Our daughters simply could not coexist living in the same room any longer. And with the prospect of getting a bigger house dashed, we had one option. So we added on to the house that we love. It made more sense to add value to this home rather than try to buy another one. And the new addition is for my wife and I. Plus, it comes with it’s very own heating and cooling equipment. The HVAC professional told us that adding that much volume to the existing HVAC equipment would overload it. And it was far to young to be replaced. That meant that we went with the ductless heat pump inside the new addition. I was a bit worried that the ductless heat pump wouldn’t be enough. There are times, in the winter, when the heat pump seems a bit overmatched. But that was so not the case with the ductless heat pump. It gets the heating and cooling job done no matter the season. But it also comes with a remote control thermostat so we can adjust the heating and cooling from bed if we want to. Now, the girls have their own rooms and we have a master suite with a ductless heat pump.

This time of year, I like to soak up every single one of these perfect days.

Going outside in the morning to enjoy a crisp, cool morning is such a delight.

And having the heat pump not running non stop is also great. But with each passing day, I hear another heat pump cranking up in the neighborhood. The temperatures are creeping into the 80’s during the peak heating hours of the day now. For many, this is the time to flip the thermostat from heating to cooling. My thermostat is still on HVAC heating although I think the heat pump came on a half dozen time this past winter. That’s pretty much par for the course. But the real work for the heat pump is still on the horizon and approaching fast. Soon, the heat pump will be cycling on and off through the day and night. Our summer is so hot that everyone relies on HVAC cooling. I do my best to wait as long as possible to flip the thermostat to cooling. This gives me a chance to get a bit more accustomed to the heat. But once the air conditioning comes on, it’s not just the cooling comfort that I’m after. The HVAC cooling process performs another very important role in our house. The humidity level is balanced by the HVAC cooling process. The heat pump works by moving the heat energy out of our house to be replaced by cooler air. Well, that means a great deal of moisture in the air is also exhausted out of the house. So we have an environment that helps mitigate mold and mildew growth.
