Part of this is because I used to work at the State Association 4 Career and Technical Schools.

I also used to be a teacher, and it was absolutely unheard of for a teacher to tell a student that they should go to trade school. I hated that at the time, and I hate it even more now. Going to a good vocational program, such as an HVAC program, is a great way to learn a skill that will earn you a great living in the future. Anyway, because I live in the Southeast, I am really interested in this Heating and Cooling industry. It turns out that our nearby school has top scorers in the HVAC program. Students learn all kinds of things besides heating and cooling, and I recently learned that there are required HVAC certification and also optional HVAC certification. About all states require certification of their Heating and Cooling work. Even if you live in a state that does not require certification, it makes sense for all Heating and Cooling technicians to be certified. If you get this opportunity and next time you refuse to take courses that are certified, it’s more likely that you will get a job at the HVAC company. Right? If you want to make your money back within 5 years, you must be able to save at least $1,000 a year on your air conditioning and heating bill.
