Occasionally, a man simply has to get creative & take some possibilities to get to where they want to be.
That was truly much the case when it came to being able to afford to be a homeowner.
I’m in a job where I just don’t make a whole lot of currency yet. And my line of work is never going to make myself and others rich. However, I wasn’t ready to spend the rest of my life in rentals with noisy neighbors & terrible HVAC equipment. That just wasn’t going to happen. However, the more I saved for a downpayment on a house, the farther away it seemed for myself and others get enough saved. It was maddening. So, instead of giving up, my friends & I pooled our currency & purchased a beach house together. But we made sure the beach house had 3 levels. This way, we could make 3 separate living spaces with a shared living room. The venue we purchased needed new HVAC equipment. But instead of just replacing the HVAC unit, we went another direction. Every one of us had the HVAC corporation install a ductless multi split method for all 3 living spaces. Not only are the ductless heat pumps efficient, they can work independently of a single another. That means we all have our own temperature control in our living quarters. Every one of us also have a single ductless heat pump in the living room as well. This situation has worked out so well. I’m now building equity instead of just giving my currency to a rental corporation each month. And we have quality heating & air that none of us had in the apartments we once lived in.
