My brother was at home with mom, and I had errands to run the other day.
Working from home, mom and I grew closer.
Ever since COVID, she said she wanted us close, and the house was too empty. My brother knew this was mom’s way of keeping us out of harm’s way. So we both agreed to move back and work from home. My job is now permanently remote, and I have an office that was once a spare bedroom. Anyway, I was busy running errands after finishing a huge project on this specific day. Mom called, but I didn’t hear the phone ring. Only later did I call her back, and she told me about the AC tripping the circuit breaker. Mom wanted to ask if I could call Paul, my boyfriend, to come to check it out. Paul is a professional HVAC repair person working with an HVAC corporation. From time to time, he always comes to the house to inspect the HVAC unit while visiting with mom. Yes, they are that close and even go out for coffee without me. I called Paul, and he told me he was at a house fixing another AC unit. He would pass by once he was done and assured mom all would be okay. I drove home and found Paul’s truck in the driveway about an hour later. He was fixing the AC unit, which had dirty condenser coils. The former state of the condenser coils was causing the electrical short that tripped the circuit breaker. Mom was happy with the assistance, and we spoke with Paul about finally getting an HVAC service agreement to ensure the unit was good.
