Must provide service with a smile

I find it fairly taxing to be nice to someone when they are yelling in my face.

  • This type of issue does not happen very often, but from time to time I will run into a miserable patron that does not want to calm down! Last year was the first time in a very long time that I had an irate customer.

The man was pissed off about the price that I quoted for an A/C repair… The guy claimed to have received a cheaper estimate from a peculiar AC repair dealer… I told the man that I would be willing to adjust our price if I could look at the other estimate. This guy totally refused to produce the estimate, so I could not lower the price of the AC repair any further. The man called me every name in the book including a liar, thief, plus cheat, and after the man clearly was not going to relax, I left the address plus contacted my boss. The man called my boss to make complaints about the repair that he received plus he mentioned the fact that he was yelling plus could not produce the other estimate. The guy started yelling at my boss plus he politely told this guy to simply shut up plus stop talking. The patron hung up the telephone plus did not call again. I doubt he ever received another estimate at all, because the price that I was charging this guy for the AC repair was well under the national average plus I gave him a generous 10% discount for being a first-time customer.
