I have a really hard time falling asleep if I don’t have my air conditioning system running at night.
I don’t know why that is, but I do know that it’s an issue for me! I love having a fan or some other sort of white noise running at night so that I can fall asleep.
I know that a lot of people feel the same way and that’s probably why those noise machines are so popular these days. I don’t need a noise machine, though. I have an older central air conditioning system that’s actually pretty loud. A lot of people who have come over to my house in the past have told me that to them, it sounds as if I should probably get the blower motor in the air conditioning unit looked at. They say that it sounds like the fan in the A/C is going to go at any time. However, I don’t ever take those suggestions seriously at all because I love the loud whooshing sound that my air conditioning system makes every single time that it comes on during the summer. This is especially true for me at night, because that loud whooshing sound puts me right to sleep every single time. It’s like I’m a little baby riding in a car. Something about the sound of the air conditioning running in the night makes me fall right to sleep. I don’t know if I would even be able to sleep at night during the summer if I had a quietly functioning central air conditioning system! I sleep so well at this point during the summertime that I don’t really want to chance it by getting a new A/C installed!
