I live in a warmer climate, & I don’t have to use my furnace for much of the year, and last weekend, however, we experienced a frosty front, & it got into the low 40s; Not wanting my family to be uncomfortable, I turned on the furnace before I went to bed, only to wake up in the afternoon to a frosty house.
Luckily I was off of labor that afternoon, so I was able to take matters into my own hands.
I did what I constantly do when something is broken, & scoured YouTube for answers. I found a video where the speaker described a problem similar to mine, so I went to the hardware store, & bought a updatement section for my furnace, the defective section came out with ease, & the new furnace component fit right in its arena. Unluckyly, however, when I went to turn my furnace back on, it was still blowing frosty air. Several YouTube videos & several trips to the hardware store later, I had unsuccessfully spent the whole afternoon trying to repair my furnace, however to no avail. The next afternoon, I contacted my local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C provider to ask for help. They were able to send a worker out hastily, & the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional was able to hastily diagnose my situation, & have my furnace working again in no time… Most importantly, he told me how important it is to have frequent inspections of my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system, in order to prevent it from failing again. Now, I can rest simple knowing that I won’t be stuck with a frosty house!
