I live in a warmer weather conditions, & I don’t have to use our furnace for much of the year; Last weekend, but, both of us experienced a chilly front, & it got into the low 40s, however not wanting our family to be uncomfortable, I turned on the furnace before I went to bed, only to wake up in the morning to a chilly house.
Luckily I was off of work that day, so I was able to take matters into our own hands.
I did what I constantly do when something is broken, & scoured YouTube for answers. I found a video where the speaker described a problem similar to mine, so I went to the hardware store, & bought a replacement section for our furnace… The defective section came out with ease, & the new furnace component fit right in its site. Unfortunately, but, when I went to turn our furnace back on, it was still blowing chilly air. Several YouTube videos & several trips to the hardware store later, I had unsuccessfully spent the whole day trying to service our furnace, however to no avail. The next morning, I contacted our local Heating & Air Conditioning provider to ask for help. They were able to send a serviceman out hastily, & the Heating & Air Conditioning professional was able to hastily diagnose our situation, & have our furnace toiling again in no time, however most crucially, she told me how crucial it is to have frequent inspections of our Heating & Air Conditioning system, in order to prevent it from failing again. Now, I can rest easy knowing that I won’t be stuck with a chilly house!
