When they were little, my kids used to pretend to be HVAC technicians whenever they were playing make believe.
That’s because their uncle was an HVAC technician and they thought that he was the coolest guy ever.
He used to come to the house to see them sometimes on his lunch break and he would drive up the driveway in his HVAC truck. He would also let them look at all of his tools and sometimes he would even let them pretend like they were working on heating and cooling systems with him. He taught them a whole lot of different things about heating, ventilation, and air conditioning before they were even five years old. So I guess it’s really not a shock that they actually wanted to play and pretend that they were HVAC technicians too. One of my favorite pictures of my two kids together when they were little is one where they are dressed up in their little pretend uniforms and they were pretending to work on the air conditioning vents in the house. They were on the floor by one of the air conditioning vents in the kitchen. They look so cute in this picture that I had it framed. I gave a copy of it to their uncle for Christmas one year and he hung it up in the office at the HVAC system where he works. I’m pretty sure that one day, at least one of my kids will go to school to get their HVAC certification. Honestly, I would not be all that surprised if both of them did it.
