It’s honestly amazing how much the sunlight on the glass heats up the immense room in my mom’s house in the afternoons during the summer time and the fall.
It’s gotten to the point where none of us even want to go over there to visit with her because her house is so hot. I assume that sounds terrible, however my Dad knows that it’s true. She always tries to leave her house now to come out and meet us anywhere because she doesn’t love it there either. I keep telling her that she needs to call her local heating and cooling supplier to come out and repair the problem for her. There should be no reason for the sunlight to be keeping her out of her own home! It honestly is an issue for her though. She has tried turning the cooling system down so that the temperature in the house gets cooler, however the sunlight creates a honestly terrible redhouse effect inside of the house and the whole place is just boiling and muggy. On top of that, when she turns the control component down, her cooling bills end up being sky high. It’s terrible to have to pay such high cooling bills and still not be comfortable in your own home. My Dad told us that she thinks that she’s going to end up calling the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier later on this month Because she wants to have everything fixed before Thanksgiving comes around. I assume she’s going to want to host it at her house, however there is no way we’re all going to go over there if it’s too hot.
