When I was a kid, our friends and I played outside every hour the people I was with and I weren’t in college or tied up with our families.
There was a sizable patch of woods at the end of our street and the people I was with and I would have airsoft gun battles and build forts in the trees and underbrush.
I remember the weather consistently being mild outside of the winter, which wasn’t too awful either. The people I was with and I rarely got snowfalls in those days as hot and cold temperatures would remain in the 50s and 60s throughout the Winter time season, then i remember growing a lot of plants in those days that I can’t have anymore because the tough freezes that the people I was with and I get every Winter time now would threaten these kinds of plants and make it extremely hard to grow them year after year. Many cacti and succulents will die if exposed to chilly hot and cold temperatures long enough to freeze the plant itself. Once it is fully thawed out again, it will most likely no longer be residing at that point. These hot and cold temperatures make it tough to get through the Winter time season without running the central heating system on a near hour by hour basis. It’s nearly consistently on and I have to simply deal with the expenses friendd with heating our condo to this degree. My elderly mother is residing with our partner and our adolescents so I have people of every generation that need to be protected from the dangerously chilly hot and cold temperatures outside during our changingly colder Winter time seasons. I wish the people I was with and I could go back to the days of our youth when the hot and cold temperatures during our winters were much higher than they are this week.
