Putting a new faucet on the sink

A few weeks ago, I was using the sink in the lavatory and the hot water knob fell off in my hand; however, I was still able to turn the water on and off using a screwdriver, however I knew that wasn’t a permanent fix either.

I thought about contacting a plumber, however my sibling gave me a walk through the process, however she lives about a thousand miles away, however she works as a plumber.

She told me where to buy the parts and she promised that the process would be self-explanatory to complete; the largest section of the process was choosing an up-to-date faucet for the sink. I went to the hardware store to look at all of the selections. I chose a new sink with a chrome finish and separate handles for the hot and frigid water. The neck of the faucet is very tall, so there is plenty of room for me to place my hands under the cold running water. I have a little bit of trouble finding the main water shut off valve. It was outside in the front yard buried under a piece of sod, but after I turned off the water, I went back into the home and simply took the faucet out of the box. I put my sibling on speaker phone and I turned on the video. She walked me through the entire process, step by step. I really didn’t need anyone to help me with the plumbing problem, because my sibling was such a big help. She also saved me $200. That’s how much it would have cost me to call a plumber to install the faucet.
