We couldn’t be more pleased with the way this has all turned out
Where we live, there is a great deal of HVAC cooling going on. That’s just the nature of the beast around these parts. Our weather is pretty much outstanding for 8 months out of the year. But from June thru September, it’s brutal hot and not an easy place to enjoy. For many, the air conditioning gets kicked on toward the middle of March each year and doesn’t stop until nearly Thanksgiving. While that’s not quite the way we do it, I would say that we are in the minority. Yet, with that amount of air conditioning, you definitely want to have a reliable and efficient heat pump. We definitely have that in our heating and cooling equipment. When we built this house, HVAC was a priority. Both my wife and I are natives so we know how to deal with the heat season. That said, we do still rely on air conditioning throughout the summer to be comfortable. And air conditioning isn’t about comfort alone either. The HVAC cooling process is also balancing the humidity levels in the house so we are mitigating mold & mildew as well. Being that we HVAC efficiency is high on our list, we also chose to go with the most efficient and sustainable HVAC equipment. Our house has a geothermal heat pump for heating and cooling. This HVAC equipment, while a bit more expensive upfront, provides so much savings when it comes to all that HVAC cooling expense. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way this has all turned out. The geo heat pump is remarkable and our HVAC costs are minimal.
