He took the thermostat out of the box and wired it to the system
My girlfriend and I came home from work on Tuesday and the AC wasn’t working at all. I called the maintenance supervisor immediately and requested a service appointment. My girlfriend and I live in an apartment for these exact reasons. The average cost of an AC repair is half as much as our monthly rent. Living in an apartment means not having to pay for expensive repairs to the air conditioner or furnace. It also means not having to worry about yard work and Mowing and cleaning the yard. It is by far one of the best perks of living in an apartment instead of a house. Unfortunately, there are several other apartments in the building and sometimes I have to wait several hours before a maintenance technician is available. I was very happy to find out that someone was available immediately to work on the AC repair. Charlie showed up about an hour later with a box of tools. I told the guy that the AC wasn’t working at all and the first thing he checked was the thermostat. The thermostat didn’t have anything displayed on the screen, and that is one of the reasons why I knew there was a problem with the air conditioner. Charlie went to the golf cart downstairs and brought a brand new thermostat up to the apartment. He took the thermostat out of the box and wired it to the system. The new thermostat looked great. It had a 7 in digital display screen and several programmable options. I was pretty excited about the new thermostat, especially when I found out that it fixed the AC problem as well.
