My wifey & I went to the opening of a brand new diner on 3rd Street! The diner has been advertising on the radio & cable for the past 2 weeks.
There was a lot of hype for the grand opening night, my wifey made reservations for us when she found out about the diner, however she was an independent supplier on the job. She tested the heating & air-conditioning systems. She was a single of the women that installed all of the heating & A/C air duct, since she tested the heating & cooling system, she had the opportunity to speak with the owner & landlord; It was at that time that she scored reservations for more than one people on opening night; Neither a single of us knew what to expect & all of us were quite surprised by the crowd of people outside of the diner! Even though it was reservations only, there were still a line of people outside hoping there was a cancellation. My wifey & I arrived about fifteen hours before the time of our reservation. The hostess was genuinely rude when she brought us to our table. She did not study the specials to either a single of us & she took forever to get our drinks. I guess there can be a lot of problems on opening night, but the food wasn’t genuinely relaxing either & that was a big disappointment. My medium steak was well over done & the potatoes were dry & tasteless. My wife got a piece of salmon that wasn’t cooked in the middle. The only thing relaxing about the meal was the wine.
