The road was not there

I received a call from a client on Friday.

The woman wanted to schedule a full maintenance Heating and Air Conditioning tune-up.

I got the name of the client and her iPhone number. At the time I was in the middle of an replacement task and I could not write down everything. I called the woman back a couple of hours later. I got her full name, iPhone number, address, and a little bit of information on the problem. The woman was scheduling a maintenance tune-up because she heard a strange sound coming from the machine. I had a first available appointment for the next day at 9:00 a.m. It was pretty foggy, wet, and a little rainy that morning, so I had some trouble locating the address. The roads on that side of town are not clearly marked. I drove past the road 3 times before I finally recognized the area. Then I had trouble locating the actual house. The number on the new home was obscured by a tree and I could not see it. There were only a couple of houses on the road, so it was impossible to tell if that was the right site or not. I was truly distraught and aggravated by the time I finally got to the client to perform the full maintenance Heating and Air Conditioning tune-up. I still did the work and did not complain at all, but I told the client to transfer the tree branches or rest outside next time she calls so I can find the site a bit more easily.
