Every Christmas, I visit my parents’ house & stay for about a month & return beach house after the modern year.
It has become tradition to spend Christmas at their beach house because I care about the colder weather during the holiday.
Periodically I wish for snow, I dream of having that honestly white Christmas, however that hasn’t happened in a while. There are 3 living rooms situated upstairs in my parents’ house & 1 of which is situated above the garage. That particular room has honestly little insulation so it is usually freezing in the Winter. Therefore, it becomes strenuous to manage the heat when all of us have a house full of people. If the control machine is set to 74 degrees, the room over the garage is comfortable, however the 2 additional living rooms get seriously overheated & end up feeling like gas furnaces. My room usually becomes unbearable to sleep in, so officially, I turn the heat off prior to going to bed. And you guessed it, if the weather is brutally chilly outside, the room over the garage that lacks typical insulation becomes an icebox. All of us had to come up with a solution for this issue so that all our houseguests could sleep comfortably. After a short discussion, all of us decided to purchase a space heating system for the room over the garage. This proved to have solved the problem because that night I was able to turn the Heating, Ventilation & A/C machine off & all of us kept the space heating system on in the room over the garage. The room was nice & comfortable, toasty however not too hot. It is amazing that a $25 space heating system could create such comfort, & my dad observed that using the space heating system for guests staying in that room over the garage has saved him some cash on her heating bill over the years.
