Recently I installed legitimately stylish ceiling fans in my condo because the existing fans looked out of date. The current fans were so quiet plus efficient in comparison to the old ones that I wondered if I could get away with running the air conditioner less in order to save money. I have been planning a week-long getaway for several months now.

My task can be quite stressful at times, so I decided that what I legitimately needed was a ‘staycation’, meaning that I would use my getaway time to stay home, relax, plus tend to my to-do list, however unluckyly, cleaning plus cleaning out were at the top of my list.

My air conditioner device was one of the items that desperately needed to be cleaned. A year’s worth of dirt plus debris had clogged the cooling fins, plus I know that this was affecting my air conditioner’s efficiency. I turned off the power to the air conditioner, attached an extension cord to my vacuum cleaner, then dragged it outside to the outside unit. I unscrewed plus removed the metal box covering the fins, then – with the soft brush attachment to my vacuum cleaner – I carefully vacuumed each of the air conditioning system fins. There was an incredible amount of debris to be cleaned off, since the central fan sucks the outside air through the fins. In fact, I had to detach a lot of dead leaves from the fins before vacuuming them. I noticed that some of the fins were slightly bent, which is no surprise since they look so fragile. I am not the original owner of the home, so perhaps the previous owner had caused disfigurement to the air conditioning system unit. I figured that I could re-straighten some of the fins with a blunt dinner knife. Unluckyly, as I worked my way around the unit, I found even more bent fins. Our Aunt Flo visits us once a year while in the summer… Aunt Flo is quite outspoken, especially when it comes to her personal comfort.

My buddy and I now keep the air conditioner set at 71 degrees while in her visits. But the minute that she leaves, my pal and I rush to the control component to lower the setting to our cat’s favorite temperature.

I was so happy when the HVAC company I was working with finally got back to be about the repair

My office recently experienced a tragic event. After a long week of heavy rain and bad storms, the parking lot began to flood. We didn’t think much about this, as it has happened in the past. Flooding is not uncommon where we live, and we thought that this was another one of those with the bad rain and storms we have had lately. In the event of a flood, we would not even know what to do. I thought that maybe we would see it coming, but I knew that we were screwed the second I heard the siren for the tornados. The sirens were very loud and startled everyone. The worst was yet to come. It has been several months since this tragedy, buu we are still dealing with the aftermath. I have been fighting with a local HVAC company to help get the A/C back up and running in my office. The flood water had destroyed the HVAC system and my staff has been unable to work. In the region in which I live, we can not go too long without air conditioning or we will become overheated. At a certain point, it is no longer good for our health to be without air conditioning. I was so happy when the HVAC company I was working with finally got back to be about the repair. Everyone in the office is happy with the new HVAC system in the building.

I went out there a few times to feel the warmth from that as well

My boyfriend’s dad bought a new house on the river recently and decided to throw a Superbowl party. There were snacks and wings and beer. I was excited to see the new house and also to hang out and eat some good food. His new house is about 30 minutes from where we live, so the drive over was quick and painless. The backyard has a swimming pool, a bar and a trampoline. This particular evening was cold outside. We were all hanging out outside at the bar where there is a nice outdoor TV set-up near the grill. As the game got closer, the weather became colder. We were starting to think that we might have to take the party inside until someone remembered the portable gas heaters that were in the storage unit nearby. With 30 minutes before the game, Steven decided to drive to the storage unit and get the portable gas heater for the outdoor area. It was a close call, but he got back to the house before the game started. He was able to set up the portable gas heater with ease. The heater was such a life saver! It brought the outside area to a warmer temperature quickly and everyone was happy. There was also a fire pit that was burning outside of the screened area. I went out there a few times to feel the warmth from that as well. It was a great night and everyone was warm thanks to the portable gas heater.

Once a year, we have an HVAC technician come out to the office and do our yearly maintenance work. Stewart is a very pleasant, very knowledgeable HVAC technician who is familiar with the office building and can quickly repair almost anything. Stewat has been working for the HVAC company he is with for nearly 10 years. When there is an issue, he is our go-to guy! While an annual maintenance job is not the most exciting, he makes sure to thoroughly check the filters and vents for any sign of damage that might cause a bigger issue down the road. Tuesday this week, Stewart did a full inspection of all of the offices in my building. He replaced the filters in each room and caused little to now disruption of the flow of the work day. He presenting with a very professional demeanor and earned the respect of all of the doctors in the practice. While one doctor was seeing a patient, Stewart patiently waited for this session to end so he could get in the office and check the air filter in between patients. The HVAC technician was friendly and got what he needed to do done quickly. I always look forward to seeing Stewart around the property doing repairs. He is a friendly person and very good at what he does. When I have an issue with my A/C, he is always the first person I call. It is great to have a trustworthy HVAC technician that you can count on in times of need.

As we get older, the less exciting birthdays become.

It is nice to go out for dinner or get a nice card, but as we age, we expect less and less.

That is not going to be the case for my husbands next birthday. We bought our first home together less than a year ago and it has turned out to be a financial nightmare. Everything had to be replaced, including the HVAC system. The heating and A/C work fine, but the problem is how inefficiently it operates. We had our home insulated and we still have issues with keeping the heat and cool in. We had an HVAC company diagnose the problem and we were not very thrilled with the results. According to the company, we need a full HVAC replacement. This was about 6 months ago and we have been putting it off. Little does my husband know, I have been saving up for a new HVAC system for his birthday gift this year. I thought about financing the system, but that would mean a monthly payment that he might have to pay once in a while. I decided to just save up the money and then do the replacement. Around his birthday, I had an HVAC specialist come out to the house and do the final inspection. On his actual birthday, he came home from work to a house full of HVAC techs replacing the HVAC system! While they finished the job, we went to a nearby restaurant to celebrate his special day.
