I decided almost 20 years ago to make a major change in my life and switch from laboring for money to chasing a dream of doing standup comedy. I was an engineer for about seven years, and although I was making lots of currency, there was a pervasive emptiness that ran through my heart and told me there was something more to life than just getting by. I had to make a lot of sacrifices to do this change but looking back on it now almost 20 years later I can really say that I am more content with life. Heating and A/C repairs, namely air conditioner repairs, pays my bills with just 15 hours of toil each week, which allows me ample time to toil on songs in my band after switching from comedy a couple years back. If you have some kind of passion that you are suppressing I promise you that it will haunt you later in life if you don’t pursue it somehow. My cooling representative friend is old now and told me he regrets every day that he didn’t become a songsian and just kept laboring in the Heating and A/C service world for much too long. You don’t have to do something forever just because you have done it forever, and it is fear that usually traps us in a smaller life than my pal and I could be living. Go for it so you’re not regretting life like my Heating and A/C worker did when he retired, spending his whole life laboring on air conditioners and boilers instead of playing songs for a bunch of cheerful people.

My air conditioner has been running for the past couple of weeks but it is going to get a break, and give me a opening to clean the HEPA filter once more.

Today is a sunny green day outside but things are going to change this weekend. My great friend and I have a cold front pushing through and the temps are going to plummet and the skies are going to turn gray for a while with some large storms coming by. That means my pal and I won’t be able to play songs on the streets like I was hoping for, but my pal and I need the rain so I have to let Mother Nature do her thing, then the rain will water all of the crops and clean up all of our streets again and my pal and I welcome it. Cooling down this weekend is going to make us run our electric boiler again, something that hasn’t been run for months now. That is great with me because it has been getting pretty moderate out and my energy has been waning a bit since then. My air conditioner has been running for the past couple of weeks but it is going to get a break, and give me a opening to clean the HEPA filter once more. I don’t remember the exact time I cleaned it last but I am sure that it needs to be cleaned again, as my pal and I have three cats and their fur can entirely fly around the flat and clog up the filters. I have a HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner but it doesn’t grab the dust in the air unless it settles on the radiant radiant heated floors that my pal and I had installed a few years back. I am going to grab some supper now and I’ll see you on the flip side of it.

My local business neighbor told me about this when my nice friend and I were working in the HVAC corporation a few months ago and he said it works great for his band. If it works for us then it will help us with getting more gigs because all of the plays and followers make us look more legit. Playing in air conditioned clubs and heated ski cabins would be a dream come tplot for me however only when our music is ready for it. Until then, my nice friend and I will just keep practicing 150 hours a year like my nice friend and I have been, which is three hours a week of playing in temperature controlled dive bars.

 

Heat pump

I am going to bite the bullet soon and get a temporary tooth where my molar was pulled out almost two years ago.

It is the second to last molar, and although it is way in the back, you can still see the void when I make a large smile. I don’t want to stop smiling, but I also don’t want to look like an aged pirate, so I am going to go get a temporary tooth put in till I can afford to buy a real implant. I don’t know what implants cost however they aren’t cheap as my HVAC tech friend told me. I think he spent like $2K for an implant, which is way out of my price range right now with my money all locked in this HVAC technology stock. I could wait another year or two however if I keep waiting I’ll never get one and will be a single toothless man. My Mom, who was also a heating dealer, had the same tooth missing although he was also married and it didn’t matter to him. But being single is a weird story and missing a tooth could be a red flag to a potentially charming guy. I will go to the current business and ask him where he got his work done, and hopefully my HVAC worker savings will be enough to cover it down the road if it isn’t way out of my league. I just don’t want to be distraught about smiling and scaring people away because I look like a homeless man or something.

The simplicity of life can provide you a freedom back that you had when you were a little kid and make you feel light and free like you once felt.

Life can get too complicated with all of the responsibilities my nice friend and I put on our plates and take away from the delight my nice friend and I once felt. Some of my friends have such a tied up life that I have to schedule weeks in advance if I want to hang out with them for an hour or so. Most of them own local businesss and have kids, which takes up almost all of their free time, kind of like my HVAC rep friend who I haven’t seen in numerous years. He told me he only has an hour each day free to himself from 10pm till he goes to sleep, so that explains why my nice friend and I never get to hang out anymore. I was running an HVAC corporation myself back then and was quite tied up with heating and cooling repairs, and so I decided I wanted a change and made my life much simpler in the process. It took me numerous years to get out of debt and to simplify my life, however now that I did it I feel so free and light. I still work some for the current business in town, however only part time, and I get to spend the rest of my time in the naturally temperature controlled beach that is close to my flat. Life is nice if you work on it.
