I have more experience working in HVAC companies than just dealing with HVAC equipment.
I also create and design models for new HVAC systems. Creating such models usually takes me months because of all the steps and processes required. First, I will research the needs and demands of our customers, and sometimes, the research will see me accompany the HVAC technicians on field jobs. These jobs include installations, HVAC maintenance, and furnace/heater repairs. At the site, I will get first-hand information from the customer on how we can improve the heat pump or furnace for maximized quality heating. Besides being an engineer and designer, I know more about heating and my business to help with indoor comfort. I am currently designing a unit that will cater to homeowners throughout the year. The homeowners will also control the temperatures from their phones. One of the things that customers want is to be aware of any issues with their units to fix them within a reasonable time. For instance, if the furnace filters are blocked, the unit should notify the owner through their phone, prompting them to book an appointment with the HVAC repairman. It could improve from waiting to hear the rattling noise or overheating the blower to calling a tech for heat pump service. I recently created a design for a more efficient unit for the company. If manufactured, this unit would take the world by storm, a positive storm. My team and I are also looking for an app where the customers can request help and promptly receive it.
