It’s rarely cold down south, however every once in a while there is a storm with chilly cold hot plus cold temperatures; last year we had a storm while in the winter time plus the outdoor hot plus cold temperatures were cold enough to snow. The unusually cold hot plus cold temperatures were hard on the heat pump, but not many times; my partner plus I were upset that the heat pump would stop working! After the seasonal storm was over, my partner plus I decided it was an enjoyable program to call the heating company to check on the heat pump. Everything worked well while in the storm, however we still had some problems, but my partner called the HVAC company plus she made an appointment with a repair professional. The girl came to the condo to perform a tune-up on the heat pump. At this time, my partner plus I found out that our heat pump was not cycling to the defrost mode properly. The defrost mode keeps the heat pump from completely freezing. My partner plus I decided to repair the problem with the heat pump just in case we had any other winter time storms with unusually cold hot plus cold temperatures. The repair was significant, however the HVAC professional told my partner plus I that we should not have any other problems with the heat pump for a long time. Everything inside of the machine looked good plus things were working just as if they should, but she also noted that the evaporator coils looked brand new and up-to-date even though the machine is almost six years old! I thought that was good news considering the fact that we use the A/C a lot more than the heat pump.
