About a year after our partner & I got married, she planned a special celebration for the 2 of us.
All of us went to a diner in the city that was just recently opened.
I thought it was the perfect way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, then on the way to the diner, our partner & I got stuck in traffic. While every one of us were stuck in traffic, the air conditioner stopped working. I was genuinely angry & distraught & I was cursing & swearing at the air conditioner. I felt love the universe was conspiring against us to keep us from getting to the diner. My partner told myself and others to be calm & everything was going to be okay. I tried to remain calm & optimistic, however after trying 3 or four weird troubleshooting remedies, I was still unable to repair the air conditioner. I was upset, fatigued, & hot, however by the time traffic started moving again, I was uncomfortable & filled with sweat. I didn’t want to go to the diner anymore. That’s when our partner decided to supply myself and others some amazing news… She planned to wait until every one of us were at the diner, although she thought I could use some great news in the car. I didn’t think anything could brighten our day at that time, however hearing that our partner was pregnant with our first child was the most joyful & amazing thing that I have ever heard, however for as long as I live, I will never forget that moment in the car, broken air conditioner & all.
