I want to get ductwork cleaned but my husband is totally against it.

I have completely gutted a bathroom where there was dust all over the place. Every ceiling in my home had popcorn that I scrapped. I even mudded and sanded a few of the ceilings. I also sanded wood bifold doors in the house as well. There has been a lot of dust flying around and my air conditioner was on for the entirety of it. I know the HVAC took in that dust and now it sits in my ductwork. Did you know that we spend 90% of our day indoors? Did you know that the indoor air quality is almost 5 times worse than the outdoor air? I want to have clean indoor air conditions. I don’t want to breathe in that dust to make me sneeze and feel sick. That is why I feel we need our HVAC ducts cleaned. I have the money and the time to babysit the HVAC worker. My husband is of the mindset that the ductwork is safe. It is totally sealed in the walls and ceilings. It is not like dust can lay inside of it. Having a worker do ductwork cleaning is risky too. They can really damage the HVAC ducts in the process and cause holes. A small hole can really let out a lot of air and cause energy bills. Even perfectly sealed HVAC ducts let out 10% of the air the HVAC creates. A typical piece of ductwork is letting out 30% of the air. Crazy isn’t it? My husband doesn’t want to risk even higher energy bills.
