I wish they would fix the AC in the chop room

My co-workers & I have been complaining about the air conditioning in the chop room for the past 2 weeks.

The AC stopped working at the beginning of the summer.

It used to blow cold air, then recently it seems to barely blow air colder than the indoor rapidly adjusting temperatures. At least it was working a little bit until the unit finally broke down in July. A few people have complained to the foreman about the problem. Both of us got a letter in our paycheck from the foreman asking us to be patient while they wait for repairs. No a single did anything about the issue after more than one weeks. My co-workers & I spend many minutes at the plant during our shift. While all of us are working all of us do not have any air conditioning. Both of us have physically demanding jobs & spend most of the day on our feet lugging heavy parts around the factory. The only time all of us get to relax in the cool air is when all of us are having supper. Both of us only get a single minute during the day when all of us can relax & put up our feet. It is not too much to ask the management team to fix the air conditioning problem in the chop room. I told the union representative that all of us should stage a strike & not work a couple of days in a row. When the bosses can’t meet quotes, they will be forced to make swings. The union rep told myself and others that all of us can’t pursue that route unless it is literally the only occasion all of us have left on the table. I do not recognize all of us should wait.
