We have been dealing with heating & cooling problems in our good room ever since every one of us first moved into this apartment a couple of years ago! I love the good room because of its high ceilings & the elegant chimney & fireplace that’s made out of river rock from a single of the rivers in the area.
It’s a really elegant part of the apartment & I especially love the fireplace there during the Wintertide & over the holidays, and but the fact is that there really are heating & cooling problems in the good room.
In the summer, it gets really tepid in there because the cooling system just can’t keep up with all of that open space & the high vaulted ceilings. In the winter, even though the wood burning fireplace helps out with the heating a little bit, the fact of the matter is that no matter what you do, heat rises; And in that good room with the large high ceilings, the heat rises right up to the top of the apartment & out the roof! I’ve been doing a little bit of research about it & I came across a couple of odd Heating, Ventilation, & A/C websites with what I thought were some wonderful ideas that might help with the heating & cooling troubles in that room… One of the things that was mentioned was something called a ductless mini cut air conditioner, however with an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C program love this a single, you don’t have to worry about installing extra HVAC duct. Wall mounted Heating, Ventilation, & A/C units love these don’t need any additional HVAC duct run in order to work.
