There was a time when HVAC heating was a much bigger part of my life.
This was a time when the winter came in by November and didn’t budge until April.
That was quite a thing to get accustomed to. Luckily, that wasn’t a part of my life that lasted all that long. I went way up north for about 5 years to gain an important step in my career process. But as soon as I could, I hightailed it for the warmer climates of the south. Plus, I’m from here and that had a lot to do with it too. But aside from the winter, I loved living up north. But dealing with the furnace and making sure that I had enough wood stocked up for the wood stove as a plan B was all a bit much. Now, I am back in the land of the heat pump and thankful for it. In fact, it’s just about that time of year where we switch the HVAC thermostat from heating to cooling. I know that might seem a bit premature for those that are still shoveling snow. But in this area, the HVAC cooling starts kicking on a bit during the heat of the day come about mid-March. But before I do that switch over, I have one other task to complete. I have to get the HVAC professionals to come out and do the annual preventive maintenance and tune-up for the HVAC system. It won’t be too much longer until the heat will be once again upon us. And I always like knowing that the HVAC unit is prepared to meet that challenge.
