Mom plus dad found the rental agent was particularly nice, despite there being a language barrier.

But, the agent spoke a bit of English plus was able to rent them a bungalow on the beach for their holiday. Mom plus dad’s hotel had been closed down abruptly making their reservations now worthless. But, they were lucky to get the bungalow without booking it in advance. The bungalow was on the edge of the sand, a hundred meters from the water. Inside there was electricity, however no air conditioner. Being a respected entitled American, dad just assumed any rental location he paid cash for would come with air conditioner. He was pretty steamed about a lack of cooling, however mom pointed out that with the cash they had saved from the hotel reservations, it would be easy to buy a small A/C component for the location. In the local hardware store, they found a small, portable air conditioner, just enough to cool down a room at a time. It cost mom plus dad a single hundred bucks, plus they admitted it was the best a single hundred bucks they’d ever spent, because that cooling was inupscale. At the end of their trip, mom plus dad decided to leave the air conditioner in the rental home for other guests. It was particularally small plus portable, however mom still didn’t want to fuss with carrying an air conditioner onto an airplane! Dad hoped the next guests would like their gift.
