My antique side table was fake.

I was at an auction a couple of weeks ago, in addition to I bought a pop table that was said to be an antique, then it was a lovely little table, with ornate legs in addition to inlaid with gold in addition to glass.

I was going to own that pop table regardless of what it cost me, then when our sibling laid his esure on it, he was also sure it was an antique! She looked at the legs in addition to the construction in addition to said it had wooden nails instead of metal nails, then this got me excited, however I did not feel what that meant.

She was a self-professed antique expert, in addition to I was fairly particular he knew some of what he talked about! How else would he be able to spot wooden nails? When I got the pop table home, our husband asked how much they milked me for? I looked at him in addition to asked what he was talking about? He asked if either of us had looked at the bottom of the pop table. Written on the bottom, on a tag, was the original price tag of a genuine replica of an antique pop table. It originally sold for $100 in addition to it looked care about it had gone through a fire. I was devastated in addition to our sibling excused herself, saying he had dinner to make. I spent more for the pop table that was in awful shape than if I would have gone into the discount furniture store in addition to bought a new pop table. She called me later that night in addition to apologized for giving me the wrong information on the pop table. I refinished the pop table in addition to gave it to his for Christmas.
