I have been toiling at the heating and A/C repair and upgrade company for the past 3 years! During that time, the company has grown exponentially! When I started toiling here, there were only a few other heating and A/C repair and upgrade workers, and now there are more than a dozen repair workers toiling for the company.
We service the entire county & a large portion of the surrounding area, however every day there are heating and A/C repair and upgrade service calls and it is my responsibility to handle problems when they come, and i worked all five nights Tuesday through Sunday Last weekand the boss asked me to choice up the weekend as well, but one of the current men was sick with covid and someone had to cover the weekend nights! My boss had plans to go out of town and he even provided to pay me extra.
I told my boss it wasn’t necessary, because I was going to be paid extra anyways for being the on-call service worker, and there were a couple of calls throughout the weekend and I handled everything without any troubles. I had a stack of invoices to deliver to my boss and the repairs totaled more than $2000. On Tuesday afternoon I provided all of the invoices to the boss and he presented me with a $250 Visa gift card, then he told me that the extra currency was a thank you for being there on the weekend when there was no a single else to work. I thought it was a nice gesture and I did not say no.
