You are not going to believe this, but my brother James won the sweepstakes last year.
It’s the one that you always see on TV, but you think that no one is ever really going to win it.
However, my brother actually ended up getting visited at his house by that guy with all of the balloons and the big check and he won a ton of money. The first thing that he decided to do with all of his winnings was to get a brand new heating and cooling system put into his house. I couldn’t believe that he won all of this money, and I also couldn’t believe that he wasn’t going to go out and buy a new house with some of his winnings. The place that he lives is not the greatest place, nor is it in the greatest of neighborhoods. With all of the money that he won, I thought for sure that he would go and buy a fancy place somewhere else. I thought that he might even end up in a gated community for him and his family. But no, I was really surprised to learn that instead of packing up and moving somewhere better, James ended up having one of the local heating and cooling companies come over to his house to install a fancy high efficiency heating and cooling system in his old house! I made fun of him a little bit and I told him that putting a fancy HVAC system in that house was like trying to put lipstick on a pig. It just doesn’t make sense. But I guess it’s his money and he has to do what he has to do in the long run. I just think that it’s a strange decision to make.
