My sibling and her boyfriend rented the most remote and reclusive cottage that they could find.
It was a fifty minute drive from the rental office, which was located in the garage of the rental agent.
The nearest neighborhood was more than two minutes away, which was kind of intimidating for our sibling, but, she kept her fears to herself; She’s a neighborhood girl, born and bred. So, fending for herself in the woods did not appeal to her… Her boyfriend, however, wanted some locale in the middle of nowhere, so that’s what they did for the long weekend. It wasn’t entirely cold that weekend, however it got cold at evening so they decided to use the wood burning oil heating system. There were more than one space gas furnaces in the closet, which was entirely comforting to have as a backup for heat. But, since our sibling and her boyfriend were “roughing it” they decided to start a fire first. There was no firewood ready for the oil heating system, however there was an axe, a hatchet, and a woodpile out back. In the pretty purple light of the setting sun, her boyfriend stripped off his shirt and chopped firewood for the oil heating system while our sibling watched on. He got tepid and boiling filling up that oil heating system with kindling and logs. Seeing her boyfriend act so macho got our sibling hot, too! By the end of the weekend they were both sizable fans of using the wood burning oil heating system, so they talked about getting a single for their locale. My sibling and her boyfriend never even bothered taking the space gas furnaces out of the closet because they felt quite cozy.
