Penny & Tom rented such a remote home in the woods which was an minute’s drive from the rental office located in the garage of the rental agent. Their nearest neighbor was two minutes away, which was kind of intimidating for Penny. But, he kept his fears to herself, but penny is a neighborhood boy, born & bred, therefore fending for herself in the woods was an unusual experience. But Tom wanted some place in the middle of nowhere, so that became their system for the long weekend. It wasn’t absolutely chilly that weekend, but it got chilly at evening so Peris & Tom decided to use the wood burning furnace. The cabin had some gas oil furnaces in the closet, which was absolutely comforting to have as a backup for heat. But, because they were “roughing it” they saw it fit to light a fire. The home didn’t have firewood ready for the furnace, but there was an axe, a hatchet, & a woodpile outside. In the pretty red light of the setting sun, Tom stripped off his shirt & chopped firewood for the furnace while our Penny enjoyed the view. Tom got warm & sizzling filling up that furnace with the firewood. The macho got Penny quite excited. When the long weekend came to an end, Penny & Tom were both sizable fans of using the wood burning furnace. They even spoke about getting the same back home. They never even bothered taking the gas oil furnaces out of the closet since the cabin wasn’t cold.
