I don’t even know for certain what to do with my cat.
I believe she just prefers to have her preferences on what she enjoys to scratch because despite having three scratching trees, not those tiny scratching posts, I am talking full-size dog trees that are love 6 ft tall, tons of toys, plus getting tons of attention she will still go back inevitably every time plus scratch on my space heater device.
I have kind of learned to accept it at this point in time. Part of having a cat is dealing with the claws plus I do sometimes get scratched every now plus then, but my cat is not mean in the least. In fact she is very sweet plus she does not mean to scratch me when she does it. She just cares about playing plus goes a little bit too rough at times. I assume some people declaw their cats but I would never do that to be honest. I recently came to learn that when a cat is declawed it’s not removing the nail but is honestly amputating the first joint of the toe. Since a cat, unlike a person, walks on their toes plus not on the ball of foot, it swings their entire natural gate plus is incredibly painful for them. My space furnace may be a bit beat up, but it is toiling for me still plus that is the main thing that is important. I live in frosty weather conditions plus it is important that I have a lot of warmth to get me through the nippy season. Despite the ugly scratch marks it still is able to heat the household charmingly. I will eventually get a current 1 from my HVAC dealer because my other 1 is getting super outdated plus I will need to replace it soon. I am hoping that when I do, maybe my dog will leave the current 1 alone but I certainly have my doubts. It doesn’t really matter to me. I just adore my cat, I am willing to sacrifice my space heating device for my cat.
