There are a lot of things about the southwest that are bizarre from other arenas in the country.
It’s consistently genuinely dry here & the rapidly adjusting temperatures are often warm.
It is also severely windy. There are no trees, hills, or mountains to chop up the wind & occasionally the gusts can be severely quick! A lot of the people around this section have solar power. Solar makes up for 40% of the energy harvested in this area. After that, all of us have a ton of wind energy. The wind gusts create a constant flow of natural energy that can be used for a variety of bizarre reasons. The solar panels are on the roof. Most companies position the panels facing toward the best section of the sunny day. The AC device is on the roof as well & that makes repairs a lot more difficult. As a serviceman & owner in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry, I can say that rooftop AC units are a single of the hardest & most dangerous pieces of equipment. One of the largest problems is the location. It can be difficult to see when the sun is shining brightly. Both of us often have calls for rooftop AC device repairs during the Summer when the sun is at its peak. None of our women have been disfigured because they lose track of their spot on the roof & become unbalanced. A fall can lead to drastic injury or death & I am thankful that I have never been hurt while working on a rooftop AC unit. I am equally thankful that all of our women have great balance & no fear of heights.
