The waiter was rude and the food wasn't very good either

I know there can be a lot of problems on opening night, but the food wasn’t very good either and that was a huge disappointment

My boyfriend and I went to the opening of a brand new restaurant on 3rd Street. The restaurant has been advertising on the radio and television for the past 2 months. There was a lot of hype for the grand opening night. My boyfriend made reservations for us when he found out about the restaurant. He was an independent contractor on the job. He worked on the heating and air-conditioning systems. He was one of the guys that installed all of the heating and air conditioning ductwork. Since he worked on the heating and air conditioning system, he had the opportunity to speak with the owner and proprietor. It was at that time that he scored reservations for two people on opening night. Neither one of us knew what to expect and we were quite surprised by the crowd of people outside of the restaurant. Even though it was reservations only, there were still a line of people outside hoping there was a cancellation. My boyfriend and I arrived about fifteen minutes before the time of our reservation. The waiter was very rude when he brought us to our table. He didn’t read the specials to either one of us and he took forever to get our drinks. I know there can be a lot of problems on opening night, but the food wasn’t very good either and that was a huge disappointment. My medium steak was well over done and the potatoes were dry and tasteless. My wife got a piece of salmon that wasn’t cooked in the middle. The only thing good about the meal was the wine.
