We got a generator just to make sure that all of us could keep our air conditioning system running after the fiasco all of us had last year when the power went out for so long. We had such a long power outage here in our town that no 1 could even believe it. There were guys from the power business working around the clock, but everything was so messed up on the power grid that it ended up taking almost 2 whole weeks to get things up plus running again, and meanwhile, everyone in our entire town was suffering without electricity plus trying to learn to live without power for more than one whole weeks. That included us! The worst section wasn’t being without television or electric lights or locales to plug in our cellphones, though. The worst section wasn’t even the fact that all of us had to hot things up in the fireplace like some old west settlers! No, the worst section of the whole situation was the fact that all of us had to go without our central a/c for more than one whole weeks while in the summer. I don’t believe about you, but living without my a/c was literally like torture for those more than one weeks. So being without air conditioning system because all of us had no power was genuinely a big issue for us. By the end of that more than one week period, I had made the decision that all of us were going to be buying a generator for our house. I’m never going through all that again.
