We need to get a cover for our exterior air conditioning unit before winter.
I’ve actually been thinking about getting a cover for our air conditioning unit for a while now, but it’s been one of those things that I don’t think about until it’s too late to actually do it.
Last year, for instance, I wanted to get one for the outside A/C unit and then before I even knew what was happening, it was already cooling off outside and it was snowy and freezing outside. I guess that’s just how things go sometimes. I never really think about things that I need to get before I actually need them. I’m not good at planning ahead, that’s for sure. Anyway, I told my husband the other day when we were talking about getting the yard ready for the winter that we really need to get the covers for the air conditioning unit that we keep talking about getting. I know that having the A/C unit protected is actually much more important than I’ve been giving it credit for. I think that having it covered up in the winter probably protects the inside of the unit more than I ever realized. I think keeping the ice, snow, and debris out of the fan coils will really make your A/C unit last much longer than it would otherwise. Since we purchased a new HVAC system a few months ago, I’m glad that I figured out that covering it with a new A/C cover will help it to last longer!
