Why do we have those air filters in our Heating unit?

Air filters are a legitimately important area of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit.

Air filters help to trap dust, dirt, & other airborne contaminants.

Air filters keep all of these pollutants from entering the ductwork & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit, and dust & dirt can cause both mechanical & electrical issues with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit. It’s important to keep the air filters scrub so they are working at optimum condition. There are lots of different types of air filters. I use a washable air filter, because I believe it saves a lot of currency & the earth. The washable air filter can be certainly cleaned with overheated water & a small amount of detergent. Occasionally I will soak the air filter in bleach as well. I wait for the air filter to dry completely & then I put it back into the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. I scrub the washable air filter once a month. Some people will scrub the air filters more frequently, but I believe that works out good for me. If you have the type of air filter that is disposable, it should be changed daily as well. There are lots of types of disposable air filters that are made for allergens, pets, or nicotine. The specialty disposable air filters are a little bit more luxurious than a basic & traditional a single. It’s important to guess exactly what will toil out best for your system. If you do not guess for sure, you can have a full service tune up & ask the serviceman as many questions as you want. They can point you in the right direction.
