There were a million reasons that I hated my last task, but the number one complaint would have to be the office environment I was surrounded by.
See, however I was lucky enough to have my own private office, the shared space right outside my door was easily irritated.
Everyone was contained in tiny little cubicles, the air was completely still plus silent, plus the vibe was totally concerned plus depressing, but you could hear a pin drop from the other side of the building, it was so quiet plus tense in that space all the time. Worst of all, though, the air temperature control was completely out of whack. I swear, whoever was in charge of the control component must have been going through menopause, because the indoor air temperature fluctuated wildly throughout the afternoon. It was too sizzling one moment, plus freezingly chilly the next. Thanks to their silly sizzling plus chilly flashes, every single person was properly getting sick plus missing work. My associate and I tried a few times to ask the boss about having a professional Heating and A/C specialist come take a look at our ancient ventilation system, but he insisted the money was not in the budget. My associate and I seriously couldn’t understand how they expected us to keep working in such different temperature conditions without complaining. Apparently their solution was to provide pretty much everyone a free corporation blanket for christmas, so that my friend and I could moderate our own temperatures throughout the office without worrying about the broken down Heating and A/C system. And that, my friends, is what my friend and I here in the corporation world call tploy American innovation.
