He thought our Medicare may cover the UV air purifier

I was talking to our dentist, and he told me that an air purification method would make a large change in our hubby’s emphyzema.

He said that nothing would cure the emphyzema, but he would be more comfortable if the air in the apartment was cleaner.

The easiest way to achieve cleaner air was to have the ductwork cleaned and an air purification method installed. The people I was with and I knew the air purification method was not within our budget. The people I was with and I were barely making it with the rising prices. He told us he he thought our Medicare may cover the cost of the UV air purifier. I had never heard of such a thing, but I was willing to pursue it. I called our Medicare supplier and told them our dentist gave our hubby a prescription for an whole-house air purifier. She asked what the diagnoses was, and I told his he had emphyzema. She asked for our cellphone number and told me he had to do some research, because he had never heard of an air purification method being a prescription. The next day, I got a cellphone call from the insurance dealer. She said they wouldn’t spend money for the replacement of the whole-house air purifier, but they would spend money for the air purification method itself. They would also spend money a portion of the cost of the HEPA air filters. I called the dentist and told him what the insurance supplier said. He sent the prescription for the air purification method to the insurance. All I had to do was call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier and make sure they would accept the insurace for the whole-home whole-house air purifier.
